Screen to Image makes it quite easy to capture what is displayed on your computer’s screen. Once you have the screenshot, you can do several things with it. You can set it up so it is saved as a BMP, JPG, GIF, or PNG file. You can set it up so it is opened with your default editor. Or you can set it up so it is copied to the clipboard.

You can install Screen to Image in one of several supported languages (English, French, Spanish, and more). The installation process will take little of your time and will go along smoothly. It’s a simple matter of downloading an executable, running it, then clicking through the onscreen instructions presented by a setup wizard.

While this screen capture tool is running, you will see a Screen to Image icon in the system tray. Left click the icon and you will be presented with the Options menu which allows you to adjust the application’s behavior. You can set it so the application automatically launches at startup, so it uses a large crosshair, instruct it to capture a rectangle or a window, and tell the application what to do with the screenshot – copy it to the clipboard, save it as a BMP, JPG, GIF, or PNG file, open it in your editor, or just display it.

To activate Screen to Image, you must use the Ctrl + Right Click hotkey. What happens next depends on the settings you choose. You will either have to draw a rectangle, manually position a fixed size rectangle, or select the window that will be captured. What happens after Screen to Image takes the screenshot also depends on the settings you specify. The application can simply display the screenshot, it can copy it to the clipboard, save it as a graphics file, or open it in your default editor.

Screen to Image is not free, it is free to try. You will be reminded of this when you launch the application.

Thanks to Screen to Image, you have a simple yet highly efficient means of taking a screenshot.
